PROGRAM DETAILS
Noah’s Arch Foundation is a start-up organization who will provide extensive services aimed at supporting parents with special needs participants by providing respite care and other services. We will provide a safe, caring environment for participants to feel secure as they explore and play away from their parents and families. We will hire excellent care-givers that have a heart for special needs children and young adults and those who want to be a real difference in the lives of each participants.
BOXING
Our boxing class will be taught to participants with the aim to get fit, improve self-esteem and confidence, co-ordination, balance and agility. These sessions will be run and supervised by fully qualified boxing trainers and are tailored to suit the needs of each participant.
RESPITE CARE
Respite Care Services provide much needed relief to caregivers of our program participants all while participants engage in activities that foster healthy behavior.
JUNGLE GYM
Our inclusive Jungle Gym will promote physical, cognitive, learning, visual and hearing experiences that enrich play experiences for. We believe everyone deserves the highest level of fun. We will consult with both child development and inclusive playground experts, to incorporate focus on the complexities and developmental benefits of play to include the specific features our participants need at each stage of growth.
WATER THERAPY
Aquatic therapy is a form of physical therapy that is performed in a pool. The use of heat and warm water is preferable in association with aquatic therapy. The goal of this particular form of therapy is to assist in restoring the person’s strength and movement through the use of buoyancy, resistance, and heat. Buoyancy can assist, support or resist, depending on the therapy goal The American Medical Association makes efforts to describe aquatic therapy as an effort by a therapist to improve a person’s ability to function through the application of aquatic therapeutic exercises. Our participants will benefit through impoved Motor planning, self-regulation, speech, oral motor control, strength and coordination.
